Dear God! That has to be one of the most awesome sounding cars on the planet

I don't know how you manage it, but on my last 3 trips to the North Town kebab shop (they do the best burgers in the South!!!) I've seen you each time. Actually, I normally hear you first, then the black beast appears about 20 seconds later.

I was the numpty who'd abandened the Alfa 156 after Mr Kebab shop waved me down to tell me he'd forgotten to pack Mrs Twin Turbo's chicken kebab. That would have been interesting when I got home!

I digress. When I get my Monaro (and it is WHEN not if), it's gonna be black and it's gonna sound just like yours

Ahhhhhhh, so that was you in ya Alfa mate!! I did spot yer on my way past. Car is sounding unusually wierd at the mo, but I love it. And I also love the unpredictaboises it can make......it has a mind of its own!! Next time you spot me in North Town ( I live just before the bridge), run into the road and flag me down.....will stop for a chat!! And a quick cruise of course!!

Cheers dude. I'd be in trouble if the Mrs got a cold kebab though

I will wave like a nutter next time though!

The car sounds amazing......sounds like it's spitting and rumbling on the overrun.

Yes does that a lot, but to really get a feel for how different the cars sound with different mods, you really need to hear my car against say........BO55's car. Now that will deffo give you an idea of the difference a few mods can make!

Thanks for the offer's guys...........but I'm on call for work this weekend, so can't escape

Paul - I was at Drive Vauxhall (Aldershot) this morning. Did a trade-in deal on the Alfa against a Zafira. I know it's only the wife's car, she's a childminder and needs the 7 seats....but it feels a real step backwards from the Alfa. Never thought we'd own an MPV Still, it's a nice practical car and should suit our needs. The speed thrills will have to come from my 300zx until it's Monaro time.

Andy Goode sold us the Zafira and says

AND he had a black VXR for sale. I told him to put it away until next year when I'll be in the market for it. Also jokingly told him to put the full Wortec exhaust on it. He reckons the full system (inc manifolds) is £4k!
