Cleaned my mates M3 this weekend and thought it would look a lot better with the image of a Monaro on the side thumbup

The M3 is probably the only other car that would be in the running when I come to get my Monaro.....well, that and a Mustang GT. I just think the Yank and the Oz muscle cars offer so much more for the money. And you don't see them every day.

Its come up well - I do like them in Silver Grey, was almost going to get that colour but went for Carbon Black instead (bugger to keep clean)

Great car, had lots of fun in it when I owned one a few years back, but I get a lot more people checking out the Monaro than I did with the M3, and thats compared to a time when there weren't millions on the road like there are now

You're right, nobody gives them a second look now even with the fancy wheels! Pretty good performance though and a lot more grip than the Monaro.
Problem with this colour model was trying to get it to look shiny as the silvery metallics are optically poor shiners. Tried out a 4 step coating of polishes and waxes (all meguiars) for the end result and the guy was pleased enough.
Can't beat the dark colours though.cool

does everyone up there drive fast rear wheel drive cars - you guys turned the island into a personal race track or what? Beginning to think you've declared independence and thrown away the traffic laws

Standing outside Fred's (M3 owner) house yesterday and a Ferrari F430 drove past at great licks Same guy has a "Flying spur", vintage Jag, SL55 AMG, Lambo ? and his daily driver a black R Rover (quick one!). So you could be right Bob yikes

I seriously thought about an M3/5 instead of a Monaro. Trouble is it would be an M3/5! (If you know what I mean)

IMHO the BMW premium brand image is going to take a tumble over the next few years, if it hasn’t already.

Did you know that the previous 3 series outsold the Mondeo and by all accounts the f**d is a pretty good car.

indeed, in 10 years time its possible that a well designed ford could be residually stronger than a 'mass market' BMW or Mercedes !!!!!!!!!!!

Mmm, I don't think the high residuals will last forever. I considered a 330Ci but they are just so common I couldn't bring myself to do it, even if they are a cracking car!
