just returned from iceland (a very sobbering experience with a battle of wine at 35gbp a bottle for plonk you'd get in tescos at 4gbp!)

great place, great people - a must go n see IMO

got talking to one of the 4x4 guides - talking cars - told him what i had and he said wow - theres one on the island! they get everywhere!

Is this before or after the bottle of wine? Wow, that is pretty cool... wonder who owns that one.. Can't believe there would be much else to do in iceland, besides drink... so I take it you bring your own supplies then..

restricted to one bottle of spirits on the way in! they are very strict on it too!

i've never made a pint last as long....

strangely enough there is a lot of drunks about...

the roads over there are fantastic - but as ever the police have killed any joy - everyone (well almost) drives at about 50mph (rush hour is 4 cars on the a roads out of town)

Well the cops have to catch you first... ooopss, forgot it's and island.

Never been to Iceland, although it is on my list of places to visit that is for sure.

I believe there's one main road that goes the entire circumference of the country.
It's a bit of a thing to "do" it apparently.

Also there's no natural tree growth anywhere.

was there last may & going back with the dishwasher next may - surreal place - like landing on the moon! Lots of big yank motors - esp the 4x4's that do the glacier trips - like road legal monster trucks! Pretty cool place (sorry!) and one of the must see places in this end of the globe - will lokk out for the Hsv when back again, any more info on the model/owner etc?
PS - gotta drink the local plonk - Black label with two simple words in plain white
