Going to Aust... next week
Discussion
Good stuff eh! Er, a bit OT but who are you flying with? The missus keeps harping on about going to OZ but I hate flying (6'7" & 25 hours on a plane etc). Anyway, I might have to bite the bullet next year so I'm trying to sus out who is best.
Emirates via Expedia are in front at the moment.

Im 6'6" and come from NZ so have to handle 30hr flights.
May I recommend a stop over half way for 24hrs. Good for a refresh, stretch and if you pick somewhere interesting makes the trip all round better. Going on stop is a challenge in all respects.
Strangely Korean Air had lots of leg room.

hmm it needs to be small and light enough to fit in a case - guess that rules out a set of headers, brakes, sway bars, suspension components and just about everything else I can think of - except maybe a rip shifter.....will check pricing and get back to you.

Yeah, exit row is the best... will check in before I go, and see what I get.
Stu - I'll have a red one..
BTW, when is it likely an anouncement to be made when the HSV's are definitely going to come in? I know it is probably cheeky, but is it possible to still leave the HSV on it, and not VXR it?

Malaysian best service in First, but behind Virgin Upper Class (business) etc now. Wouldnt recommend Emirates business, first is ok, but not beds etc.
Not been for a cpl of years so game may have moved on.

I go down under most years, but being just 5ft 4in leg room is not so much of an issue, however, luggage is big on my agenda, I like to bring back lots of bargains. If you fly down via asia in economy, you will be allocated just one bag in the hold weighing no more than 20kgs. If you fly via the USA, then you are allocated 2 peices and each can weigh upto 32kgs. If you buy a round the world ticket, (Virgin, Air New Zealand, Singapore, the great escapade ticket) you have the luxury of being able to go out via asia, and back via the states with up to 15 stops where ever you like that the three airlines fly to. It is a bargain too considering the stops, flexibility, and luggage allowance. All three airlines have the max in leg room for economy travel, and I can recommend all of them....
PS I dont work for any of them
