Was far too impatient so collected the car yesterday, nice aren't they?

Anyway in my manual it is talking about the menu settings in the car, I cant find them only settings to actually change from mph to kmph. Whats the score?

Also is there heated seats? If so where is the button as I cant find them!?!?

When you turn the ign on, watch the dash display.

When it says "Options" or something like that, press the Mode button to the left of the dash and then scroll through to your hearts content.
Some settings are stored in the key and you should use the spare key every couple of months otherwise it becomes disconnected from the car and you need new one.
No heated seats.

Oh and RTFM too.

Congrats an' all.

I also think we need a thread in "that" place.

Monaro's can't have enough exposure imo.

True, know what you mean.

I think the bass/treble behaviour is std in all cars.
I keep mine on...erm...Rock...I think.

Should be on MSN tonight.

because I like big butts and I cannot lie (nige dont need to worry mind)

if I just get the wortec essential thing where it rechips it, whats the real power gains to expect and also if one was to have an accident, is it easy to check if its been re-mapped?

you could ask someone nicely with the EFilive kit to download a tune into your car for you - if its a standard 04 model cv8 the clubsport tune available online is meant to be as good as your going to get - should get you 30-40bhp from what I've seen. If you go mafless then theres a hsv 285kw tune that you can use. ringram is the man to see for tech info or even to buy your own kit - think its actually cheaper than paying for the basic tune. I've just bought my own kit and have been busy logging lots of data so I can do a proper comparison once I've downloaded the clubsport tune into my cv8. If you get someone to do it for you then you'll need to pay at least the cost of a licence - 60-80 quid iirc unless they're feeling very generous and want to let you use their spare licence. Might be an idea to see if anyone at silverstone can help if you're going along. If you do go to Monkfish etc then for the money you're getting a custom setup specifically for your car on their dyno using either the EFilive kit or something similiar and they will squeeze a few more horses out the engine. I believe their basic tune also includes the mafless mod but you'd have to confirm with the dealer. Depends what you feel comfortable with - and of course if you go to the dealers there's the bonus of being able to have a mod or two done at the same time....

some good info there! Thanks

I had looked at the kits but I prefer the idea of getting it set up on the dyno with the experts.
