This one I've posted before.

But this one's new. OK, so it's been Photoshopped to become a Pontiac GTO, but you get the idea.

The problem with these p-shops is that they don't really get the muscle across. No one can say the Monaro doesn't look muscular, but these cars look like normal saloons without rear doors... I really hope they beef the actual thing up.

That, for me, is the big difference between CV8 and VXR.....the VXR has all the muscle and agression.....I think the black p/shop has it, but not the red one. Perhaps it's 'cos they all look mean in black

Nah, the VXR is a tarts handbag - all bodywork and fake vents.

The red one is just too Vectra/Astra to be a Monaro/GTO etc. If it IS going to happen, it needs to have more 'Camaro' in the body work - especially to survive the US market it's about to enter.

Some interesting debate going on over on this site:

www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107683

Seems some like the idea of a "two door saloon", which is effectively what the Monaro and GTO are, whilst some want something bespoke, along the lines of the Camaro.

It'll be interesting to see how GM handle this. So, we have the Camaro, which is a right 'ol stunner, due to hit the streets in '09. But what will they do for a new GTO? Two choices, either re-badge any new Monaro (pretty much what these two photoshops are) or restyle the Camaro. After the lukewarm reception of the current GTO, I reckon GM will go for something more radical. What's weird is, GM have indicated the next GTO will be on sale in '08, before the Camaro. Seems odd when they haven't even produced a concept.....unless something appears at Detroit in January.

If the GTO arrives first, it'll be followed by the Camaro a year later........which leaves the question of whether the next Monaro styling will be GTO/Camaro or Commodore based.

As it stands, the GTO was unsuccessful mainly due to it's un-GTO looks - so if GM want the new one to do well, and compete against it's own cars like the Camaro, it's going to have to be butch. Since we can only do 30mph, I need mine to at least look like it wants to hurt you...

The red one looks a bit too Japanese and generic to me....I see Mitsi Evo at the front and Mazda 6 at the back.

TBH the current VXR (and IMO the CV8 too for those of you with 'grilless' tastes) is FAR better looking than either of those
