Not had a chance to read the articles yet though......but Autocar twin test it with the Shelby Mustang GT500, there's a fantastic photo of them powersliding around a corner together

OK, so neither are exactly in-depth reviews. AutoExpress have just the one page, but they like it and it gets 4 stars. BTW, they mention 50 examples will be available, is that right? Didn't think it was that many.

The Autocar article is much better, and it's Chris Harris behind the wheel. I'm glad he "gets" these two cars and doesn't compare them to the more "sophisticated" european rivals. Instead, he took them to the Chobham test track and ragged the ar5e off both of them "The only objective way to appraise this pair was to go somwhere private and see which was the sillier of the two) thumbup

At the end of the day, he actually prefers the Mustang (more to do with it's looks and the legend that goes with it). But that's fine. Both these cars are very personal choices that most would ignore, and buy another Porsche or Audi. He likes 'em both, just likes the 'Stang a little more.

There are some great photographs in the Autocar article too.

Our VXR 500 test car could be heard coming from miles away. It was fitted with an optional sports exhaust system (£960), which is well worth the money. Popping and gurgling on the over-run, it’s up there with TVRs as far as acoustic sessions go!

And that was without Wortec headers!

Nice photo. Why do cars always look great in slate quarries or the like?

Anyone else notice the error in the "How they compare" table?

Remote reservoirs for the dampers so they can tune the settings - apparently these aren't coming on the cars for sale.

That was the expensive ($6000) Ohlins adjustable suspension option on the previous series HSV's.
