Just got handed my left testicle for double parking
Discussion
Just had security in here go buck mad at me for parking across 2 spaces (which I've done the past 4 1/2 years I've been a contractor onsite at their facility with all my previous cars too)...
Thing is the spaces they have laid out are in line with the size you'd find in Korea (if any of you have been there you'll know how small I mean - time to try and crawl out the boot or out the side window Dukes Of Hazzard style), and if I put the Ro into the space normally it's actually sitting almost on the white lines on either side
so if I don't obey the powers that be I'm going to get an official warning
and if I do I'm going to have the most rippled 'ro in the country in no time at all

What are your thoughts on parking across two spaces to protect the P&J from the supermarket door bashers? I did think it a bit antisocial when I've seen it in the past but now I have the 'ro with not a crease on it I can see the attraction.
I did actually do it myself when the misses dragged me up Ikea the other week but going by the abuse I got from some bloke, quote "f***ing ignorant c**t" I'll almost certainly think twice beofre doing it again. I reckon if he'd seen me park up and not getting back in he'd have keyed it while I was inside going by his reaction!

If ever I have to take the 'ro shopping I park as far away from the rest of the world as I possibly can...
I am with you on that one, I usually park as far away from the shop as possible so that no stupid t
t parks near me. As a bonus it means I have to walk further
I have to admit that losing a pound or two wouldn't do me any harm. I do it at work as there are tons of spaces but I hate parking in any sort of town centre car park, it makes me cringe just thinking about it. I had a Civic type R previously and that was beaten to a pulp by sh*theads that just didn't care. Thank goodness for my baby daughter, jumbo family parks at the supermarket since!

I did that too
I parked way over the furthest point away from the store as I did feel like a "selfish t
t" as Marki put it and when that geezer started on me I knew I wished I hadn't
Only did it once and probably won't again
Trouble is my last motor was smashed to pieces by the equally selfish bas***ds who take zero care when getting in and out of their cars!

You should have been at the Tyresmoke meet the other night at Windsor....
About 8 of standing outside the pub have a chat and a couple, with kids come out of the pub and go to their car....
Dad open's passenger door...WHACK...onto car on left, carries on regardless....
Mum open's driver's door...WHACK...onto car on right, carries on regardless...
Do these people have no sense of respect... It's not like they where small dinks.... we all heard WHACKS from the other side of the car park....
People today... no respect for other peoples property...

Is there any reason that this Forum software doesnt have an ignore feature, cos after reading half of the shyte you have posted in recent times Marki....I could be doing with that feature right now so I wouldn't have to continue to read the shyte you come out with in future.
I have driven in holland and it seems that cars are a bit like dodgem cars, and thats moving.
There are some real knbs out there who seem to think it is acceptable to bang other cars. Personally I try and park in an open space (that is when in car parks with a space either side so I 'know' i am square in the box).
I have still come back to it to find an imprint of a bumber on my rear.......

Isn't this about some new (large) cars just getting fatter and fatter? Thus needing more space and combine that with some drivers not being good at parking and you can see the problem. Oh, maybe the doors are longer to especially when the kids come crashing out of them.
Wifes saab is full of dents in the doors from piss poor drivers/parkers who couldn't give a stuff. She always parks nice and straight so who needs more space then they're entitled to? Certainly not her.
I know, lets make the bays wider to accomodate the big batti wide butts and the roads, that'll fix it.
Boosted.

Why is it though that even if you park at the other end of the car park with loads of empty spaces all around, by the time you come back, the only two spaces that have gone are the ones other side of you...........or is it only me? When I used to have the Camaro it was not unusual to have to open the passenger door, drop the hand brake and then push the car out of the space so I had room to get into the drivers side......and I even got hooted for doing that because someboday had to wait for me to get into the car to drive away...such is life I guess!!
