Just seen a 2005 VXR for sale, its got the new style bonnet but its currently on a private plate. As its the newer style model it must be registered on a 05 or 55 plate right ?? Its up for 22K which I thought was quite reasonable, 23K miles, one owner. Only problem is.......its in Belfast. Surely there can't be any stupid taxes to pay or anything ?? I know it sounds like a stupid question but you never know.............

Northern Ireland is considered part of the United Kingdom and therefore you should not incur the wrath of HMR&C.

Is it the red one on the 'trader? If so, it's a 6-litre 2005 model. The number plate is not a private plate, it's a Northern Ireland one. Of course, if it's not that car, apologies

Edited to add if it is that one it looks great value!

I saw that car advertised yesterday and was amazed. The cost of the 6.0 VXR is really coming down. So much so that i'm putting off buying one untill after Christmas. Badge snobbery is really pulling down the cost of buying the Monaro.

And also on auto-trader (probably pre-reg?) there is a VXR with 10 miles at £28995!
