Just purchased a CV8 and I collected it today, good news
Drivers door central cocking broken after 10 minutes, Bad news
Parking sensor not working after being told by seller it was, Bad news
Talked to Vauxhall about warranty repair, Bad news
Talked to Vauxhall three times more, Bad news
Talked to Vauxhall again, Good news.

After roughly 8 hours of ownership so far I am not too impressed.
The chap who sold me the car must have known about the faults but failed to inform me even after I handed over the cash and I specifically asked about these items.
My fault for not 100% checking the car before forking out the cash.
The only good news is that the repairs can be fixed under warranty without having to drive a 300 mile round trip to a "authorised" Vauxhall Monaro dealer.
Vauxhall are a total nightmare and the Monaro well so far!!!
Lovely car to drive but!!!
My 360 has given me less problems.
OH well it must get better.

The phrase unlucky springs to mind.

Most cars are well cared for and luckily are within the 3 year warrenty.

IMO the Monaro is a solid reliable car which should give you a lot of fun and via the forum you will have access to all the specialists (this makes the ownership part easier).

Day two and things are getting better.

I am starting to get a feel for the car, and I am beginning to understand what you see in them.
The gear box is "interesting" and the breaks are crap, the handling is not exactly sophisticated.

But man the engine is the dogs, I can’t wait till the warranty runs out and then I will for a rip shift and get a remap and some up rated stoppers.

I have owned big saloon type cars before and after a while they become boring, this is getting better by the mile, and that’s after driving a 360.

Hopefully my local dealer (now I have spoken to the very helpful service manager) will sort out all the niggles.

"It must be good if it has kept me out of the 360"

Don't wait for the warrenty to run out.

None of ours have and erm are still well looked after.

Ripshifter sorts the gearbox out, Wortec can do the exhaust and suspension via the dealers in the stickies.

Glad the experience is getting better

You should get some VXR brakes as an interim measure!

Aren't yours just about to become available?

Funny you should mention that, I happen to be having AP's fitted tomorrow so a nice set of VXR brakes will be available
