hi just been on my and the steering feels very light at 195mph is there anything i can do to make it a little heavier ?

You'll probably find that it's down to aerodynamic lift. Maybe you could get some spoilery splittering goodness to reduce it but then how often are you going to hit 195mph!

What distance was required to get up to that speed?

CAPA do a splitter the runs under the engine bay, from the front edge it looks about 1/2" thick head on but is about a metre wide & the width of the engine bay, been thinking I need one of these for years

Doesn't the speedo have problems reading above 165 or was that on the old CV8's - I remenber Tiler telling me this a while back.

How much run up did it need? You should bring it to be next vmax!

Mine was actually under reading at 150+ at vmax. Can't comment on 165+ as unfortunately there wasn't room.

Not on mine it doesn't, as confirmed by satnav speedo readout at the same time, but in saying that mine is a Mar 06 CV8 so probably not in the old bracket (yet)

AH FOUND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS AND ONE OF THE KIDS HAD TAKEN A SCREW OUT OF MY FANTEC SPEEDSTER 3 FORCE SHOCK STEERING WHEEL FOR MY X BOX SO NO MORE LIGHT STEERING!!!
( YOU ALL DID NOT THINK I HAD ACTUALLY DONE THAT IN MY NICE NEW SHINY NOT RUN IN VXR356.8 MONARO DID YOU ???hehe

I did wonder if you were BSing but it's not beyond the realms of posibility given enough room.
However at somewhere like Brunters I'd expect about 165-170mph out of it given the space available.

I did 241.2 MPH in Gran Turismo 4 in my 750bhp NOS-equipped Monaro CV8. Beat that!
