Im a naturally aspirated type.
How about a 427 7L engine?
US Companies have just started shipping 418 cube motors based on L92 6.2L stroked blocks. You can choose from the new LS7/L76 style heads or the older LS1/6/2 cathedral port type.
Or do a cam only upgrade.

Well,my preference, and many will not accept or reference,Screw blower,ie whipple /autorotor,which are more powerful than the Eaton type112.My experience is that the roots type runs out of puff at about 12psi but the screw type will make in excess of 16psi.
The LSI will make 515 ft/lb torque @ 2300rpm which is real grunt low down but as said before if you want max bhp go centrifugal. On our roads what is required?low down power to clear slow moving traffic or max mph?.Honestly say, fitted Vortech and good, fitted Eaton 112 and max power down but torque better, fitted Whipple screw and in my opinion best of both worlds.High torque and decent maxbhp.

I believe V8HSV has the best example of a what can be done with a modded HSV GTS (in the UK), which was mainly done by Linden Special Vehicles I believe (contact details on their website found in the "links" menu.

Keep me out of this, mine is not the most 'whatever' and yes LSV have done all the work & to be honest it cannot be compare to the very fast coloured Monaro's on this forum, I doubt if it could keep up with a VXR 500 as it has four doors too
