Listed as a 5.7 VXR but its got the later dash, new bonnet and wheels? Either lots of money spent on a modded car or the wrong description? Bring on the January 6.0 Vxr. £18000 please.

Forgot to say its the Red one and also has the later twin twins.

I spotted this too today, couldnt work out whether its a 6.0 or not but as you say must have had a fortune spent on a 5.7 to make it look like that.

Wait till March will be a good choice of them around the £18k mark I reckon.

It's a 6 litre car, and having done a fair bit of research lately that price is no surprise at all.

No surprise eek Where do you make your research? Because so far in the last 4 months that is the lowest priced 6.0 Vxr that i have found. They are coming down at the cost of 1K per month at the moment though.

Panic sales from those who withdrew housing equity!?

Now interest rates are moving up perhaps the pain is too great..

Mind you whatcar has a good depreciation guide and they have been pretty bang on for the monaro so far. Its worth revisiting it.

Vauxhall Monaro Coupe 6.0 VXR 2dr 36,995 23,695 20,143 16,914 14,043
Vauxhall Monaro Coupe V8 2dr 29,965 19,192 16,315 13,699 11,374

Prices are from new then each year after.

Anyone who buys a car to make money is insane. They are one of the worst things you can do with your money.
Thats why Im spending more on mine

Have been looking and waiting for some time and although they must level out at some point the're still dropping like a stone at the mo'. Every time I'm in "nah been there get something else now " mode a 6.0 VXR appears where I'm thinking " but censored hell LOOK how much car that is for the money!" Very tempting at these prices.

I think these will level out around the 15-17k level for quite some time, become affordable to buy (if not run!) for alot of people at those prices.

The trade prices on these cars is scary and when you see how much they are selling for some people must be making a fortune on them.

wasnt there a new member recently who bought a mint cv8 for dirt cheap (16k) only to find a lot of problems?

at that price, if genuine and not a misprint, there will (I'd wager) be more to this than meets the eye

Once the VXR's get to 16/17K, they stop becoming tempting for me, and start becoming an absolute must

Wait till march and the new VE arrives. Be interestign to see if that has an impact. Strictly speaking it should not really as it is a 4 door v a coupe and occupy a slightly different place BUT it will be seen by the wider world as the 'monaro replacement' I suspect.

I am guessing that the big drivers will be

-how many people jump from Ro's to Commodores
-how many unsold Ro's are still around that may be fire saled
-As VXR's coem down how many CV8 drivers switch to VXR's

etc.

Not being a motor trader I oculd be talking total B*****cks of course

Don't know yet, they are about 25 mins from me gonna have a look/see today or tomorrow. Even if its a press car it'll still have 18 months warranty though and as Stu nad yourself have said in the past should be nothing to woory about from that side of things. It's not the only one I can get for £20K though, have found another FSH 20,000miles at that money, shame the're both red and I wanted black! Can't have everything I suppose.........or can I?
