Ive searched the FAQ's for this but cant find the answer i need.

In my plan to buy a Monaro, i would like to be able to fit the beast into the garage, so im wondering about the dimensions of the car - whats the distance from nose to tail and wing mirror to wing mirror??

I need to get the tape measure out - plus what is the ground clearance from the road to the front spoiler - i dont want to impact the nose when i go in the drive!!

I didn't think too much about the garage issue until I got it home to the driveway and then when reversing it into the garage realised there was going to be an ever so slight problem with the length of it - my old Astra Coupe would fit in with about a foot or so of play - I slowly reversed the 'ro in to find about 10-12 inches of it being outside the door laugh so I had to do some shuffling around of the cupboards to give me an extra foot or so of room - I've now got a sheet of foam on the back wall and a big line on the passenger side wall to which I line the mirror up to (leaves me 2 inches at the back and the same at the front to be able to close the door safely)...

Tight squeeze alright, but there was no way I was leaving her on the driveway over here in NI...

Hi silversmith - the dims are (in mm):- 4789L x 1397H x 1841W with a 2788 wheelbase

I've had to shoehorn mine into the garage - my garage has an up-and-over door so take a bit out for the structure & the 'useable' dims for that are 4800L x 2400W x 2000H so, as you can see, there's foam glued to ALL the walls & the front number plate is just 'nudging' the door 'cos I have to reverse mine in too!

had to do the same with mine. I use a block of wood glued to the floor to stop the wheels.

Hi hsv - the parking sensors I have go ballistic when I reverse the car in & eventually it's one continuous tone, so I use a plank of wood screwed to the floor!!

sorry bazza paul & yorkie.. not seriously sayin u should get sensors, they are actually not much good when you wanna get closer than 200mm! Just having a bit of a "dry wit" moment emphasisng the need for a good excuse to get the Laser jammer disguised as a humble parking sensor.

lol no hassle here chief, I have the parking sensors on mine, but with only 4-5" play when front and back combined means that final 10" of flatline tone doesn't help me out much laugh
