My God. How lucky was that! Well done for getting it back together. Can match X-Rays so know what you went thru mate. May I ask what the soundtrack to the video is? Really well chosen.

Sorry - meant no offence with my comment - the quote was taken from his topic on having the milltek system fitted and I had actually been disussing it with him - I concluded the silence from the others was down to me having frightened you all off - me not being a regular poster and all. boxedin As for the video, I shall have to take your word - can't access any videos in work - tis most annoying

No worries Huffy, I think I used the wrong smilee as it makes it a bit too serious. The thing that makes PH great is the collection of all sorts from all walks of life, vested with a common interest - cars (and bikes too).

I forgot who provided a link showing the accident recently, but after having been involved myself in a spectacular crash (flipped twice end to end, and then rolled twice over 40 foot of 8ft high spike railings!) I knew how hard it was to get back in a car.

Can't begin to imagine the physical and mental impact an accident like that would have.........but you are right, it is the diversity of people sharing a common interest that makes this a great place.

Was reading one on General gassing defending the Monaro.

I think our friend Stig does not limit himself to just this forum. Is a little delusional though thinking black is the fastest colour.

Hell this guy was lucky!!!! Just seen the video!!
Nice to see he is on the mend!!

BUT

I hope you all understand that this type of accident could happen more often in future if the goverment has its way!!! -
We will all be driving 100cc cars that do 2000+ mpg and churn out less pollution than my armpits!!!
Conclusion---
Low powered cars overtaking slow HGVs are dangerous!!! And we see more and more HGVs on our roads daily!!!
More power = less time on the wrong side of the road and less chance of meeting oncoming traffic!!!!
Thats one of my excuses for getting a monaro any way!!www.hsv.org.uk/icons/4.gif
What do you think?

I could go on and on here.

Speed does not kill, slow does.

Its the slow vehicles that cause people to overtake (when perhaps they cannot or should not) who also get frustrated at not getting past that causes more accidents.

Looking at the video it would look like someone trying to get past an HGV in a slow car (lucky to survive that one I would say). This is not as sexy to either the media or govt as your fast car behaving badly.

The shots from the end of the clip look like something from Gullivers Travels? Is he enormous or does he hang out with little people?

Fair play to him. Call me intolerant but I would have bad feeling towards the clown that caused that.

Least you can still ride though eh stig?
