Booster seats and Leather

On the last two occassions I have collected my daughter and had to put her booster seat in the Monaro, I have noticed that these things leaves deep im[ressions in the leather. Is there any specific method of getting these out?? Have sucking it out with the hoover and then applying some conditioner and leather cleaner, but somehow, the impressions seem to sink back into their normal state again. Really annoying.

It only tend to bother me when I look in the rear view mirror and see them, but surely there has to be a way of restoring the leather back to its normal state??

This don't help with the problem now but try putting some foam or a folded towel under them next time to spread the load a little bit

Funny you should mention that mate, but thats exactly what I did on the 2nd occassion I had to put the seat in, but it made exactly the same impact on the leather. I put some towels around the rear of the booster seat and they still appeared. I think I will try some foam next, got plenty of it.

On my little girls cars seat it came with a piece of coloured undercarseat thingy to protect the seat then again they do buld things proper in OZ.

Yep, we use a rubber "undermat" thingy for our carseat, available from Mothercare and the like. This covers both the seat base and backrest so won't be ideal for a booster seat. Still, something similar must be available for boosters.
