Anyone have any experience with different oils in the T56? I've recently refilled with Dexron III and it now seems to be a lot noisier (I did remember to add the additional oil via the reversing light switch).

Cheers,
Paul

We use Redline MTL in preference to Dexron. Offers far better protection and damps the noise down a bit.

I use the Redline stuff, when I changed mine the shift became easier. My original fill was Holden.

Thanks gents - I'll give Redline a shot and see if it makes a difference.

anyone tried Miller's gearbox oil? Came across a retailer with some the other day and wondered if it was as good as their engine oils.

Thanks Bob, can you give me the Millers description?

Also, I use Morris Lubricants Lodexol in my diff and I was interested to see if anyone had used their g/box oils in the Tremec box?

Im using a plain old simple Fuchs Titan ATF4000 Dexron III

My gearbox shifts beautifully every time, and seems to be withstanding a little bit of poke too.

I did want to try some Transmax Z, but its pretty damn pricey, and to be honest, cant see it working much better than what I currently have !!
