One of the problems with LPG, is the potential for small backfires in the inlet manifold, which can blow up the plastic one.
Its probably a small risk, but there all the same. Im pretty sure some guys down under have done the conversion though.

Have a chat with these guys they have done one www.envirogas.net/ I spoke with Stuart who had his car converted and although there were some issues they were sorted and he's v happy. I bought an 04 car (big boot) so I had the option of LPG if fuel turned into an issue.
There is a 'purist' approach which I can understand, however the idea of a 400bhp car which gives the equivelant of 40mpg is quite tempting, the conversion is £2k so you would have to cover 16k miles to recover the investment, both Wortec and Monkfish have been complimentary about this particular conversion.
