The rumours are true.
But not selling for the wrong reasons.
The car is in the best nic it will ever be in.
And people move on. It is still one of or if not one of the best and most power full monaros in the uk. For a 5.7 at over 600bhp. And i have a new project just watch this space.

As nice as the car is, that is very over priced. You can buy a brnad new 6.0 vxr with 3 years warranty and the benefit of knowing your the only person to have owned it. Please dont think i'm trying to generate friction as i dont see the car being sold through this board. I just think your wasting your time if you stick to that price.

With what must be at least £30k's worth of serious well thought out mods that is one hell of a machine....

and with all due respect to other drivers I suspect only the recent twin turbo's (providing they have brake, clutch, suspension and diff mods) or a rather bright green single turbo ute would stand any chance against it....oh and a stand out maloo....perhaps!

Exactly, you are buying speed, not a new warranty.
Total up the parts costs, it will come out well over the asking price.
It is however very specialist and appeals to a very small market. Thats the problem rather than the actual cost.

I'd have it off you in a second if I could afford to buy and keep it up but I can't so I'll just have to stick with my pansy stock CV8 :P

Having it literally *tear* past me on that sliproad was all the advert it ever needed for me

As for the price, it's difficult to put a value on something so specialist. Is it worth it? If someone wants a very fast and very well specced super GT muscle car then yes it is. To build something to that spec yourself would cost much much more.

problem is as we have all seen, no matter what mods are done its down to what a buyer is willing to pay, there was a guy on here breaking a stunning Calibra because although on paper it was worth 10-15k there's no way anyone would pay that for it so he was going to get more breaking it than selling it as a whole. Mods generally don't add much if any value unless you get someone who wants the same setup as you are selling. Tiler's car is stunning and exceptional value if you add up the cost of the mods he's done but its going to be tough to find a buyer willing to pay that for a 2/3 year old Monaro.

Selling the Beast then.

It'll be sad to see it go - one of the better modded cars out there.

Good luck for the future project (whatever that might be).

Sorry to disagree but I do not think you are aware of the work Kevin has had done & the cost involved together with the development period, if you bought a used one for £15k and modded it to the level achieved it would be a lot more than the asking price. A 4-door owner with 'modified' GTS-R reached a similar price via this board (classified PH section). In my view this car is a fantastic opportunity to own a 200 mph car for less than £30k IMAO!

If I might be the 4 door owner of the GTS-R yes I spent a fortune doing all the mods and making HP along with others at the time, but at the end of the day all my money spent is worth nothing until you find a buyer that will purchase, all be it at a lot lower price than you value your prized posession. The end result is the enjoyment in doing it,and forget the £s.
