Anyone know a better pad for these ap's as personaly i think there not that good!,gods knows what the standard stoppers were like if i think these are not up to the job , ok im late on the anchors very late and never had problem wi braking ok this is heavier than most i had but m3 cant be far off weight wise and that would stop on a sixpence. so if there is a range of better more aggressive pads out there let me know!! thanks.

My 2c worth... (not that I know what I'm talking about, after all, I suggested oiling my disks to stop the rusting)

The pads/disks need to be up to temp before you get the best out of them, if you've just done a m/way run and stamp straight on the pedal at the exit, it takes some time to stop....however, on the 2nd heavy application, my eyes pop out

The AP setup is VASTLY better than what BMW call brakes on an M3. As B055 says they just need a bit of heat in them before they really bite.

I didnt rate the brakes on my M3 at all, fecking useless. I actually find the stock brakes on the Monaro better than what was on the M3.

The brakes on my old E46 M3 were definately better than the stock brakes on my new VXR
I think the monaro weighs quite a bit more though - I never went on a track etc ....
so just on normal fast road use

Internet suggests the M3 is some 1500kg and the Monaro 1650kg.

maybe the m3's brakes just have more servo assistance. people often confuse more pedal effort with crap brakes.

m3 coupe is about 1600kg and the cabrio is about 1650.

Im surprised your finding the stock pads in the AP's not up to the job. However,we can do a more "aggressive" Performance Friction pad if required. Let us know if this is of interest.
