Seeing as it is coming from Oz and not going it is going to be down to the shipper to get the cheapest price.
Parts like bumpers are priced on volumetric calculations (it might only weigh 4-5kilos but because of the box dimesions it will be given a much higher weight)so it is not going to be cheap.
Airfreight is going to be ridiculousy expensive but only takes 4-5 days, seafreight is much cheaper but can take up to 8 weeks depending on what route and how many ports the ship stops at.
Do not forget to allow for VAT and import duties at this end which will be 17.5% and approx 5% respectively and then the handlers/warehouse/imbursement and courier fees which will also be applied at this end, these consist of each day stored at the airport/port, the handlers fees for clearing customs etc, imbursements- their profits on using their money to pay HM Customs and excise and lastly courier fees from said airport/port.

All the best and good luck,

Ralph

At £300 ish in Oz and £1200 in the UK I think it will still be cheaper with costs, spoke with a guy today who knows somebody who is emigrating, he is shipping a caterham and a ducati in the hull of a boat which is being exported!

Don't think he was trying to avoid duties, just ship on the cheap.
