My wife thinks I should win a prize for sad obsessional behaviour.
Can you guys compete or am I a no hoper ?

1. spending hours with a hair dryer and surgical spirit removing Vauxhall badges
in order to fit HSV badges (which she thinks look like a sea horse - you have to look for a bit to see it !)

2. getting non standard sized number plates made up to fit the car better

3. Rubbing down and painting black the rear towing eye, as yellow stood out too much

4. finally today she was sure I'd lost the plot when she came home to find me baking
the rear light clusters in the oven (only for 5 mins) to get rid of the condensation

Regards Neil

would that be rubbing down and painting the transit clamp which is designed to be removed when the car had its PDI.........

hmmm lets see, we did the holden badges as well as the side 'monaro' badge, the number plates, we painted our calipers, my dad who is into detailing actually used to use a hair dryer to make sure the paint was at the optimum temperature for wax application rofl Lots of other sad and funny stuff that I won't embarass him with too lol

about 25% of the Monaro's i have seen have the transit clamp in place........If you do take it off remeber to flip the cover panel back as it should be to stop all the dirt getting into the rear bar..............Oh about 50% of cars have this wrong

I would tend to agree with your Wife.

A hair dryer would be more sensible than putting them in the oven, then sorting out how damp got into them in the first place to cause condensation !!

I assumed the condensation/dampness was due to the car being parked up for over a year
prior to Vauxhall pre registering it.
If you take the light cluster off there is a small venting hole on the back with a plastic cap on it
You need to remove that to get rid of the condensation.
