whats it like compared to the ripshifter? How do the two differ in the way they work as this is a quote I've read:

"Reduces gate distance whilst maintaining feel and smoothness. No chance of damaging your gearbox unlike other direct quick shift units."

I'm not considering it just wanting to hear about it - then I may consider it.

cheers

Are you referring to the shorter throw stick that was std kit on the Oz HSV GTS (UK GTS-R) & GTS Coupe?

Hmmmmmm... dunno; looks like the one Hsv use on the GTS spec models but cant be 100% - I'm sure UK-HSV, LSV, Monkfish or others will set me straight. If it is the same then a few bods on here (me inc) can give comparo. I've driven both & the rip shifter is far more "positive" in gear selection & feel. cant comment on the potential damage issue. The shortshifter on the T56 Tremec hsv GTS cars just seemed like a normal gear selection feel but with a shorter throw (still 100% better than std kit).

its just an other alternet, the rip is the one to go for I think from what people say but if there is chance of improving the original without potential problems I also prefer that option too

good price it seems?
