You learn something new every day.

For 5 years I have been telling all who ask that the Holden HSV 4 door is 'an Australian GM / Vauxhall Omega body' I have just been told that the only thing it shares is................
the door handles. Oops. From now on, I know nothing.

I feel a complete t*t

Surely floor pan/chassis/doors are all the same ?? Thats no disrespect to the Holden (I want one !!) as I know everything else is different, engine/box/suspension/brakes, etc,etc,etc.......but there must be some similarities ??

Don't feel a t*t, at least not for that reason, as you're largely right. It's based on the Omega "GM2800" platform, but heavily - as in very - tweaked to become the Holden Commodore. It doesn't share body panels, but neither do a Golf and and Audi TT. More stuff here:

edtied for ytpos!
