Intercooling a VXR500
Discussion
There are several ways you can do this depending on your installation. I have a plenum which will accept twin copper cores running lengthways inside the plenum. This leaves a central chamber which can be fed air from a single throttle. Twin cores have a greater surface area then a horizontal core. Another way would be to relocate your throttle and have a smaller core behind it but that might get messy. Finally I can fit water injection inside my plenum as well as chargecoolers
I'm doing one at the moment so in a few weeks may have some pictures.

The obvious and sensible route would be to use the Harrop kit. They designed the blower kit after all.
Trying to design and build your own, or a custom version would likely end up costing more money, and more hassle than fitting the parts that are supposed to be there.

Possibly, but then again ive got a pair of german BEHR cores..

Am getting it fitted this week (SC plus IC). Should have pics by the weekend of where the IC sits

Who have you got fitting yours?
Andy is sorting it at Picadors - pick it up Sunday when my insurance renews - nice day for a blast

Good luck with it. Enjoy!
There may be more the the power quoted power increase than meets the eye though.
Did pulley sizes stay the same ? ie was same boost used ? And his setup is totally different to the Harrop kit if I recall correctly.
Then there is the thing about dyno numbers...that debate has been done to death, so I'll just say I have little faith in most dyno numbers.
Either way, on a boosted application, an intercooler is a good thing. More so if you intend to try and run more boost.
