The benefits of a decent polish
Discussion
Here's a perfect example of the benefits to be had by using decent compounds etc.
I've spent a few hours machine polishing the Monaro this morning for the first time since about last October.
The difference a good machine and compound can make is amazing as per the above picture - the half of the roof nearest camera isn't polished yet.
Machine is a Porter Cable 7424 and the compound is Sonus cutting polish.
Next steps are to go over it with compound again and then polish with Poorboys Nattys blue carnuba.
Bear in mind the car is washed every week anyway, it's amazing how much dirt gets into the paintwork.
This is the polishing pad after one pass over the car! (it started life a sort of biscuit colour)
