Anyonme know where it's located on the CV8?

I have a feeling mine is reading high so I thought I'd start by cleaning it if it's easy to get at.

Its not normally dirty. If you have the stock ls1 setup it should be in the airbox where the filter goes. Later model vehicles are integrated into the MAF. But you will know because the MAF has 5 wires if its integrated.

If you mean the one that displays on the air-con readout, its located in front of the radiator on the lower Left hand side (looking at the car from the front). The only reason I know this is that mine has recently gone (showing 37C when frozen). It is very easy to remove the sensor itself is about 1/2inch and is connected by a pair of cables that are wrapped in electrical tape (on a 30K pound car???), these can get damp so dry these with a hair dryer on low, and remove the sensor (very easy) and clean the connections. This could work (but didnt for me) when you remove it the display should immediately go to -40C and then come up with two dashes --, if the car is under warranty it should be a warranty repair, but if not the sensor is only about a tenner (Ive heard its the same as an omega) and is a 5 min job to change, if you need the part number just search for outside temperature sensor and theres a thread about a year ago, or the part number is also printed on the sensor itself. Mines going to have this replaced when it goes in for the seat spring recall.

Hope this helps

If you need one pronto I've got one spare here. Yours for a tenner if you're keen on getting some reasonable heater levels in your car!
