Knockhill Speed Sunday in assoc with Total Vauxhall 20th May
Total Vauxhall Magazine will be in Scotland on Sunday 20th May when we join forces with Knockhill Racing Circuit, Scotland’s National Motorsport Centre near Dunfermline in Fife.
The action packed Speed Sunday in Association with Total Vauxhall Magazine will be ‘THE’ place to be for all fans of modified, cool cars but especially so for owners and lovers of Vauxhalls.
Fans can expect to see probably the largest gathering of Griffin badged cars ever to assemble at the popular venue with various local club regions extremely keen to bring member’s cars to the first ever event devoted to them.
Total Vauxhall Magazine’s presence will be unmissable on the day and we look forward to welcoming all Vauxhall aficionados to what is shaping up to be a truly vibrant Vauxhall extravaganza.
Obviously, our photographers will be busy on the day, searching out show stoppers (and not just the cars!) for a future, massive feature on this spectacular Speed Sunday, so expect the smell of wax to blend with the fresh air of Knockhill.
Visitors will be able to pick up the latest issue of Total Vauxhall Magazine as they enjoy drooling over various TV feature cars which will be on display as well as an abundance of trade and club stands.
Track time aplenty will be available for everyone wishing to enjoy the challenging and exciting 1.3 mile British Championship Circuit AND for those really determined to burn rubber, the Freestyle Zone will allow drivers to perform do-nuts till their hearts content or until their tyres explode!!
One top idea from the Knockhill Team is to offer separate track sessions for road cars and track cars which helps to ease the pressure on owners who simply want to have fun.
For further information on booking club stands or to book your track sessions in advance and save money call Knockhill on 01383 723337 or visit www.knockhill.com

excellent another Scottish owner on the forums. What car have you bought and have you signed up for the BTCC events? As for what I had in mind - well basically its an opportunity for a bunch of us to get together. For anyone interested there's the opportunity to go practise your drifting skills, anyone who had a go at Silverstone who wants somewhere to practise, there's also the chance of having a go on the track as well for those that fancy a bit of action. Really just an excuse to get a bunch of cars together to go chew the cud and mix with a load of other car clubs.

would so love to go but 800 miles round trip, I know this sounds crass but I'd rather drive to France!
such a shame it is so far as I would seriously like to go there - actually the missus wants to go to Scotland but the timin of this event would be wrong I fear

yeah I know the feeling as I have an 800 mile round trip next weekend to make it to Brands, in fact probably more like 1000 but I'm splitting it over and extended weekend. Going down to north of Birmingham on Friday night, then down to Basildon for Sat and Sun, Peterborough Monday night and home Tuesday. 3-4 tanks of fuel will be required at 60 quid a time, plus hotels even with the cheap rates coz I booked in advance means I wont see much change out of 500 quid and thats before I even think of stopping in at Greens, LSV etc to see what they've got lying about I can take back north with me :-) The Monday stopover is so she who must be obeyed can get her day in Stamford as reward for letting me go to the races

bump - c'mon peeps lets have a few more of you along to this event. All the Vauxhall car clubs up here are getting right into this and signing up names for stands. Its alright we'll tell the locals you're Australian and not English so you should be okay to get back out in one piece afterwards.

I'm considering the trip over, but will all depends if I'm still in NI or not at the time :O
I've a bit of a trek on this weekend too, just shy of 100 miles to the boat Friday, another 80-odd to mum's in Glasgow, 400 and a bit to Brands on Saturday and then the return leg on Sunday night/Monday morning, add to that the usual running around miles and I won't have much change out of 1500 miles in a matter of days...poor 'ro will be ready for a rest when I get back to the house on Monday

Tell Dougie to hire you for the day to cover your costs and bring the Monaro over - you can show us how to do the drift thing properly.
With Brands I think you'll win the furthest travelled as Jeff is abroad somewhere so wont be coming down from Orkney this time
its a good idea if you can take a day or two before/after the event and make it into a mini break. We've got some fabulous roads up here whether you just want a lazy cruise or whether you want to scare the living daylights out yourself on some fast twisties.
I know what you mean about the 1000 mile round trip having just done it last weekend and looking at another one in two weeks time - did it on the cheap this time and still the cost ran to around 800 quid but as we use them as an excuse to take a short break it isnt quite so bad. I also only use the car at weekends normally so its a real joy for me to spend 3,4 or 5 days hooning about in the Monaro. For those using it as a daily driver I understand why it may be less of an attraction.
Still we'd be glad to have you or anyone else that fancies a trip along for the day.
