One of my front fogs is blown so, before I start scrabbling around on the ground, is it an easy thing to sort?
Any special tools needed?
Or would it better on a ramp?

ta me old cockers.

One of mine cracked, and foolishly I didn't bother replacing it for a while in which time it ingested large amounts of water and corroded up.

Result was a whole new foglamp assembly had to be fitted which from memory was about £120 for the part alone!!

Can't specifically speak for the CV8 but if it's any help, on the HSV variant, I changed a few lamps in my driving lights. Getting the front up on a ramp (or jack if yr brave/stupid) and have a peek behind the front bar. A rubber grommitted (I think that's a word?) wire plugs into the light assembly & the whole thing (also housed in a rubber sleeve) is simply held in place by a couple of long bolts. You can undo all this & the light assembly comes away from the front bar. The assembly/lens themselves are quite expensive and are diff parts from VT to VX to VY etc aslo diff from HSV to std Holden variants. However, the bulb itself is changeable as the front lens glass is removeable via a fiddly circlip. All that said, mine was the HSV Coupe (VXR) variety so the std Holden Munro may be completely different.
