Where are the remaining new VXRs??

OK, who can help me out here.

Have set my mind on a new 6.0 VXR in black, but I can't find one anywhere! I've tried dealers within about an 80 mile range of home and nobody has a black one left. Have found a couple of silver ones but.....well.....they're silver I'm looking at the pre-reg ones which are going for approx £27k.

So, if anyone knows a dealer who's got a black 'un lurking, I'm sure it would be worth a few beer tokens if the info comes my way and puts me in the driving seat

Dont have the silver one anymore!! We have a 55 plate Black one due, but there are no pre reg in Black.

Silver will grow on you , honest! Have a look at this months Total Vauxhall, I thought that the two cars looked great together.. My first 'ro was silver; I said I would never have a silver car, but it looked great in the sunlight.
(I have a black one now, but its a long story!)

I've had a silver one on my desktop for a couple of weeks now in an attempt to love it, but.....it just looks so bland (just my opinion of course!)

I think silver shows off the cars lines, bulges, vents etc better than black.

I also had before the Monaro 2 imported 300zx z31. One in black 1 in silver i never washed the silver and it always looked like it had just had a polish. The black 1 every week it was washed.

Theres a Phantom Black 06 reg with 4389 miles going through BCA Measham on 11.4.07.

Silver HAS to be the easiest to keep clean and the swirls don't show up like they do on a black one....

now dont make me get out the pics of mine after 9hrs of cleaning and hand polishing just to prove black looks best. silver is the colour used best as an undercoat.

Thanks for all the replies - I'm afraid that I'm now sufficiently pro-black and anti-silver that I'm now looking at used black ones rather than a new (pre-reg) silver.....

Spoke to a dealer today who has a used black one, and raised the question of him moving on the asking price. His response was along the lines of there being enough people wanting too few black examples for him not to have to drop the price very much at all!

the dealer I got my car from has a used black non vxr, that was taken as trade in against a prereg 6.0 vxr, they have it advertised at 20K.
Dickens Vauxhall in Wrexham is the dealer and the chap I dealt with was Alan Amos. their number is 01978 290077. Don't know any other details other than it has a new vxr bonnet so looks the part.
