vxr/hsv spoilers

has anyone retro fitted the three piece vxr boot spoiler?
just test fitting mine and yet the 1/4 pieces seem to have a spacer that sits the leading edge off the panel, is that correct?

Yes, have had this done. Yes, mine also had a spacer on each 1/4 piece that did that. No other car has this space between the body and the 1/4 piece so I had the fitter make sure it sat flush. Not sure how they did it - I suggested making a bigger hole in the panel to accomodate the spacer (more like a bump). They may have ground the spacer off and glued the 1/4 piece to the panel. nice one, yes that was our plan but drilling a large hole in any panel and not gettin g it blob on arrrrrrrrrrr. so bonding it on seems the only option. what was the fit like on yours?
