When I was sourcing new tyres as replacements for the F1s, at least 4 tyre specialists did not recommend the Avons as replacements, so will be interested to see how you get on with them.

I get Firestones @ £130.00 fitted & balanced at Stapletons Watford... Seem to hook up good not bad in the wet either.. Ithink Stapletons have a lot of branches so good hunting..Trevor.

Best price I can get for Avons is £552 for four, and thats not including fitting.

Next best deal I found is Dunlop sportmax at £159 each with VAT and fitting.

Can't find Firestones anywhere, anyone got or seen a better deal ?

The best mytyres can come up with for me is £624, which is £156 each for Dunlops. Then I gottaget them fitted.

Mytyres supplied my Nankang NS2 245/35/19 for uner £100 each corner, I like them or would also recc Falken FK-452, again under £100 a corner

Anyone else got experience of NANKANG or FALKEN tyres ? Spoke to a chap from this forum today and he spoke very highly of FALKEN tyres, they are alot cheaper than the premium brands.

ive had 2 sets of falkens on the turbo, grippy in the dry not so good in the wet even wi 4x4 and the shoulders are a dit thin on tread so become mot failure quite quick

i talked my local kwik fit into doing 2xeagle f1's 18" supplied,fitted,new valves and balance for 220 quid - price matched and then discounted against mytyres.
