I remapped a monaro today - 2005 6.0

it made 452 bhp and 451 lb/ft

it had a cold air induction kit and a set of headers and exhaust system

it seemed pretty good power to me - how did it fare in your opinions ?

well - i went out for a drive in it after the mapping work was finished

its a real mans car for sure - plenty of grunt and for a 6.0 litre engine it was very willing to rev !

the power is very very good for a normally aspirated car and you don't realise you are tugging a lot of weight around

motorway cruising is effortless in the 6 speed box and it is very comfortable

handling is not the same as your old Noble however ! expect plenty of oposite lock if you press the loud pedal on a bend / roundabout

27 mpg is not to shabby and its got 4 doors !!

get yourself a test drive !

27 mpg is possible but definately not 4 doors!( although my old HSV GTS-R was that I loved so much in the pre Noble days.)

An air temp difference of 16C makes next to no difference at all

The temp probe was correctly placed in the flow of air to the air filter

if the temps were 70C apart then yes the real time air temp correction would not have been realistic

(don't think the car was a uk model - a 6.0 import)

the intake was very neat - there was a scoop that fits the front of the car and inside fits the new panel type air filter.
