Just few questions from a TVR Chimaera man who now needs more seats.
First i am looking at a CV8 first addition without nostrils .
I believe the are quite a few difference on the spec to the later car , Anybody have a list or link to these .
It has a wortec sports pac , i guess that's standard suspension and breaks just engine mod 390hp . Does anybody now what the performance will be like compared to a 4.0HC Chimaera.
Again I understand the diff on the later cars is lower , is it considerably lower and does it make a huge difference on the road .
cheers

You'll get the diff info on Monkfish website - see banner above. 04 CV8 has a decent boot you may find useful and if it has 390hp it should satisfy your needforspeed yes

If your going to upgrade brakes and suspension the cv8 is a good place to start, looks quite stealthy compared to VXR aswell

I'd be cautious about the figure of 390bhp - it'll certainly not make that on a rolling road, bonnet up or down - take a look at this months Total Vauxhall, the car that came second with 367bhp came with a claimed 410bhp with the Wortec pack but didnt get close to it. All kinds of reasons why it could or couldnt be the claimed 390bhp but if you want a figure to quote down the pub then get it rolling road tested and get the rear wheel figure. Seller isnt misleading you just that short of hauling out the engine and putting it on a engine dyno that figure is just the best guestimate the mod suppliers can make of what its likely to be. It will certainly be faster than an unmodded car and it will sound superb, especially if they've left the back boxes off so its still a good buy.
