Traction (un)control?
Discussion
Is the Traction Control on the VXR regarded as being a little on the "vague" side?
Reason for asking - joining a slip road from a roundabout in slightly damp conditions a couple of days ago, gave it a few berries as I turned on to the slip (not excessive) and ended up at 45 degrees to the straight ahead, followed by a swing back in the opposite direction, before I got it straight again.
TC was definitely switched on at the time. I *do* realise that sideways action is all part of the experience
but I wasn't expecting it to bite like that with the TC on....???

I think the general concensus of opinion is that the standard one prevides a minor amount of control (read virtually none), while the aftermarket one (I think it's about the £1k mark) is fully adjustable. I believe that launch control is an option - very useful if you have forced induction. Also TC is useful for when your other half is using the car.
Personally mine is switched off permanently as I believe that the more time you spend without driver aids allows you to get to know the nuances of the car, and therefore prepare you for its 'habits'
I have found my Holden to have excellent handling and a very ballanced chassis, and it is a far more capable car than I am driver, althhough time and a lot of oversteer is allowing me to learn at an accelerated rate

Mine is running a blower and quite often the traction control is so slow doing its thing i`m in another gear when the engine goes all soft. Got to get the aftermarket T/C before the winter as my missus drives it too. Think the cost is high side of 1500 and Greens won`t fit it (thats what they told me anyway).
