I'm just gathering info at the moment, availability, price etc but has anyone changed their CV8 wheels for black ones - not necessarily the same wheels? I think the car would look rather good...Red Hot colour with black wheels!

Which design wheel?
Price?
Matt or gloss?
Where from?

Or has anyone sprayed their CV8 wheels black?
Pitfalls?
Pro's, cons?

Cheers.

I'm looking to do the same thing with my VXR wheels (silver car) I shall have them powder coated have a look at these guys website www.sweeneysherlock.co.uk/alloy.htm, they can even turn them round in a day if you remove the tyres.

Take a look around the GTO forum.... a few of the US owners have black wheels. Personally I think that some of them look ok, providing the outer rim is left silver.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that...........but I had enormous difficulty selling a red Mitsubishi EVO which had black wheels. Had them refinished in silver and it went within a week! Just a cautionary tale

I went for matt black on my CV8 wheels and very good it looks too. Kerbing casued the silver to come through and the centre plastic bits had the black rubbed off (in the car wash I presume).

Am now thinking about changing to gloss but no doubt I will stick with what I have - just seen gloss on a couple of others.

Mine were powder coated at Picador's.
