1st Drive of the VXR8 !!!!

Not me sadly....... But Sarah !!!!
Sarah won a competition in Autocar to go to Oz and drive the new beast !!!!
We both went to Millbrook testing ground last week so Sarah could have some traning in the art of driving a Monaro the correct way...... unlike me
Sarah drove a new 07 plate VXR for the day which was alot of fun.
Sarah left yesterday to fly to Oz where she will be visiting Holden's own proving ground & factory, drive the great ocean road & get to see the HSV factory too.
I'm of course not the slightest bothered about the whole situation !!!!

Only sarah was aloud on the trip and will back Friday evening.
Am missing her already but know she will have a fantastic time.

It is the Press launch for UK mags so wasnt a partner thing really.
Oh I'm sure there are reasons etc Brian but it still is a wee bit...mean... I reckon.

Spoke to Sarah today & she says the VXR8 is much better than the Monaro to drive as it handle very well...... Sideways
They were set a task to set the fastest time round the skid-pan in the wet & im pleased to as the only lady there she came 2nd !!!!
You go girl....... Must have the expert driving I've shown her in the past
They are off to the great ocean road tomorrow, doing what I don't know..... maybe some high speed runs or just to see how smooth it drives.
So far so good, The VXR8 gets the thumbs up from Sarah, so hopefully by the time she is back, sarah may want 1, See you soon Brian

Not at all, they are reading the forum from the internet access from a mobile phone
Sarah had a great day yesterday driving along the twisty ocean road ( I thought this was a straight road for some silly reason ) in both the manual & auto versions & also got to drive the clubsport.
They are going to HSV's base today before flying home later in the evening.
Cant wait to see what my present will be from there
