Are the VXR discs a standard size? I've just been talking to B G Developments (www.bgdevelopments.co.uk) about sourcing AP discs recently (different car) and it seems to me you could probably get something made to your requirements for a lot less than what £400 a disc. Standard AP rotors are ~£190-200 a piece (non-standard sizes like 343mm can be pricey at around £260, regular sizes are 330 and 356mm rotors), bells are ~£90, varying depending on the size of billet needed and a bolt kit is typically £11. If thing all work out you could be sorted for £300 a disc, with a future replacement cost of £200 a side. If the disc are already 2 piece, the cost could be less again £200 a side from the get go.

Good luck,
Steve.

They are 330x32 front and 315x18 rear as standard I think, I'm not 100% clear on the widths. I don't know what the offset is either!

Was the £800 for a set of 4? If it was then going to AP route with aluminium bells would make a lot of sense!

330x32 is a standard AP disc size.

no can do with the AP's I'm afraid - HSV have sole rights to the entire production run of the AP's based on the two piece design for our cars. Thats why you have to buy the custom kits offered by the various retailers on here at the 2.5k figure. If we'd been able to buy the "standard" AP 2 piece kits the cost would have come down to around 1500-1800 a set and replacement discs etc would have been a load cheaper too.

We could supply for £475 a pair if required.

Shame. Does mean that a non-standard group upgrade via someone like BG works out cheaper than standard parts - depending on what size disc you can get your calipers over of course.

But does that cover getting disks that are direct replacements for the standard PBR-made VXR disks? Assuming the correct bells are available ofcourse.

What would be the price fitted with new pads front Roger?
Or I could call if more appropriate?

Bignige, Total would be £627.76. Includes discs, pads, fitting and VAT.

Full details of pad and labour costs etc are on the website (discs excepted)

could also ask caspy - he was selling off complete sets of VXR discs, pads and calipers for around 600-700 quid, see if he has any left.
