Driver seat recline issues

Has anyone else experienced issues with reclining the drivers seat?

The forward/back/up/down button is working fine, however the seat raise/recline just clicks with no movement.

At the same time the memory buttons stopped working and the seat no longer automatically slides forward when I use the rear access lever.

User manuals indicates that one fuse serves both seats so that would seem to rule that out. Am guessing a loose connection somewhere but was hoping someone else has had a similar experience.

(It would be quite so bad if the seat wasn't quite so upright, feel like I am driving a bus )

Any thoughts welcomed

I had the exact same problem in my Scorpio - turned out to be the memory module.
Cost me about a oner to have fixed I recall but yours s/be under warranty?

Have booked in to get it looked at, apparently seat spring recall needs doing as well.

Still under warranty so hopefully all is good (i.e. free )

You might want to try some electrical contact cleaner from Maplin or suchlike meantime. Squirt a little in and work the switch. Also check that the connector hasn't been knocked off a little or something? Had similar in my Volvo due to stuff people in the back shoved under the drivers seat.

how does that work then as it states some crap like that in the manual but mine dont work !!or is it me ! basicaly thought you set position on memory lift lever and tilt seat forward to slide forward then to put seat back recline seat back and push lever down and auto move back into position ? or is that not the case?

Known warranty issue as I had mine sorted. Same symptons as above

I stopped for a 40 min 'snooze' the other day & reclined the drivers seat. As I pressed the memory button to put the seat in it's original position, it stopped halfway up. Turned the ignition off/on a couple of times thinking this would re-set 'things'. Nope. Lifted the handle to move the seat forward then pressed the memory button again. Nope. Would move/recline back but not forward. Stopped the engine again &, on pressing memory button, seat moved back to memory position & all was OK from then on.

IS IT ME?
