Hi Guys,

I am look to buy a classic Australian Ute ideally a 1970s or possibly 1980s model. I am in touch with various dealerships in Australia but I need more than one Ute and I am really keen to make one purchase in the UK. Ideally I'm after a V8 with an EFI engine but I'll consider other specs. If you know anyone that could help then please put me in touch. Budget negotiable.

I am also after a mechanic that's good with Holden Utes so if you know of anyone please let me know.

Cheers, Clare

I don't think you will find a Holden or Ford from the 70's or even 80's with a fuel injected V8. The last of the "old" style Holden utes was the WB in '85 and the best you could get in that was a 4.2L V8 with carburettor, and a 3 speed column shift! Can't find the spec, but I would bet on around 100KW rolleyes
Ford stopped making V8s for quite a few years in that timeframe as well...

Have a chat/email to the club chairman he is sure to know if there is any thing that you could buy. What are the two UTE's for if you dont mind me asking?
