My 2004 CV8 Monaro is called a (what?) in Oz.
If I am ordering parts and/or accessories direct, should I be looking at VY or something else?
Many thanks in advance

Wow, thanks for the rapid response...
Another quickie then if you don't mind...
I don't have the 05 MY facelift changes (vented bonnet, rear wing, binnacle guages), would these fit straight on without modification, if I were to acquire them? Thinking in particular of the ninnacle guages here... is the wiring there to just fit a new unit?

Bonnet wont be a problem....

Rear wing/Boot lid spoiler, dont rightly know...there are some alternative boot lid spoilers you could go for that are one piece, rather than the three-piece of the VXR

As for the Binnacle, I think it bolts straight on but you need some wiring loom extension - Some guys on here have already done itand I'm sure they will drop in and give you the details.

Many thanks for that... still umming and ahing about the bonnet, but I think a rear spoiler is becoming essential. I don't like the standard VXR one with the central pillar that rubs the paint on the lip. Prefer a one piece (if available) that bolts on either side of the boot lid and curves down at the ends... sure I've seen one somewhere.
Binnacle mod would be useful, input welcomed from anyone who has done it.
Bonnet mod mainly for looks. I like the stealthy original shape, but can be a little TOO stealthy at times, if you get my meaning!

I've just placed my order for a boot lip spoiler (the same one in the link although mine will be fitted to an 04 model) from JHP. £213 including shipping and insurance. Recommend that one as it finishes off the rear end nicely.

Sorry BO55, aren't the 04's VY's? The centre console trim is slightly different to the 05 (VZ) facelift.

OK, followed links and looks like mine is either VY or V2 series II...
This is bloody confusing tho. Looks like the facelift (05 MY on) is the VZ

According to redbook.com.au, the VZ was Sept04 onward. Prior to that was called V2seriesIII, although the equivalent Commodore was the VY

Not just me being thick then!
OK, so just need some input from anyone who has done the binnacle upgrade on an 04 CV8 (V2 SerIII).
Saw that spoiler thread before, personal thing I know, but I don't like the look of that 3 piece unit. Sure there's a one piece kicking around, with no brake light or central pillar...
anyone?

The above is the original topic I started. The spoiler is a one piece item. Subtle and, JHP say, should have been supplied as stock. Swordfishcoupe was next to have one fitted on an Odyssey 05 CV8.

The binnacle kits can be ordered from JHP (same place as the spoiler). The binnacle kits may be listed under the GTO section, just ask them for help if you're not sure. Very helpful bunch.

Hey Roger.. seems like you want ALL my spare cash! Add that to the list then. Maybe for the next visit cos I know you'll be busy on the first one I have booked. I'll chat to you about new wheels, spoiler and pod when I'm there.
