VT2 Parts

Hey guys, does anyone know where to get parts for a VT2 HSV GTS as last friday nite some nutjob smashed into the front of mine and did a runner...Roger at monkfish has said a frontend off a 2004-05 monaro will fit. has anyone done this or sourced from a good parts distributer lights, bonnet bumper etc as works told me can't get parts for it.Total Crap i say as if its a GM its still kickin so if anybody has any info or parts i'd be grateful to hear back as at the moment feeling like i've got no arms or legs. Sorry to hear that, that is crap indeed. Much sympathy from a fellow GTS owner.

As for parts, Lindens might have some stuff knocking around? Give them a ring, can't hurt. I know they broke a VX GTS belonging to a forum member in early 2006, they may still have the front end and it may fit. Give it a go, I got a 2nd hand window winder mechanism from them a while back.

Failing that, look into getting the bits from Oz? Would probably cost a fortune but it'd be a shame to graft a Monaro nose onto it, IMHO.

Yeah mate not to happy about it parts dept at my work are rubbish and can't be arsed gettin the parts so it looks as tho i'll have to do it myself.lets see what happens in the next 2 weeks will do some investigating on the web.

Yeah monaro parts will fit. But the R8 has its own style..
Surely insurance will pay. Duncan has a kit on his, perhaps his old bits are still around?
What got smashed, the bonnet will be the same and guards, probably just the front spoiler you will need... talk to Duncan

I have some triple black headlights on offer for a VT brand new well almost.PM if you interested i can post a pic if ya want.

Also when my VX got smashed in nov last year des, Roger and Duncan got all of my parts complete re build of the front end you may remember the pictures most of my stuff they got from the uk the rest had to be shipped from oz in which duncan did through wortec.

Thanks for your replies guys you've been more help than our useless parts dept at work they didn't even know the GTS was a GM car!!!!!!!!!! just waiting for tomoro (wed) as waiting for final go ahead from insurance company to proceed. So looking at bonnet, bumper, front panel, lights, fogs etc etc. been looking at a VXR bonnet, reckon they'll do the GTS sum serious eye pulling has any of you guys put one on a VT etc at all? Tim, i'll get parts list and mail it to ya cars not been stripped yet so might be bit of overkill on thier behalf regarding whats DEFO needed.

Metal mate i think it was about £400ish plus the nostrills i think or it may have been £400 all up cant remember. Are you interested in the lights?

Yeah iv'e sent you a mail bud. i'll let you know more tomoro as works got my danglers tied till tomoro anyway.as far as i'm concerned its get the ok for it get the bits sorted.But it its never that easy is it? sorry if it sounds like a rant still a sore subject.
