Gas_Man just sent me through these pics, makes me want to cry!

Looks like a high speed quarter impact of some sort. Nasty.

Holy Moley, but nice to see the pasenger cell in one piece though, or did he end up with a 5.7 in his lap.

Myself, one passenger in front, and one in n/s rear... all walked away. Big bang actually. Swerved to avoid debris on motorway and collided with rear of another car. That impact set off airbags. Then into n/s barrier impacting at about 50-55mph. No airbags left. Minor damage to us considering the state of the car. I'm confident these Ro's are pretty good in a bang... that's why I got another!!!
And hands off!!
I want the ripshifter, VXR brakes, rear wheels, bootlid and the 6 CD's in the dash changer before any of you start fighting over the rest! lol

It always amazes me when such massive damage to a vehicle only results in minor injuries.....

unlucky, at least hs alright though. and if your going to crash a car you have to do a decent job of it like this guy has done good effort. hope your back into a monaro soon.

glad to see you are ok!

did the pedals collapse forward (away from your feet) or were they pushed back?

It was the pedals and steering colum coming towards me that did all my damages years back in an mr2

I don't believe the pedals moved at all. It was all body damage. The crumple zones did their job admirably, only minor damage to the passenger cell.
And yes, I'm already back in a Monaro thanks... couldn't be without one now tbh!
An this one is well on the way to being sorted already, courtesy of the Guys at Monkfish. I'll be running down the strip at Santa Pod on 1st July too.

if they didnt seem to move that is really good, well much better than them coming towards you as that is what left me with my lasting issues!

(my profile vid might explain)

F**k me Stigmund......... that MR2 is a mess

Don't you hate it when people overtake into your path..... I had the same, but I was on a motorbike. 18 months off work, but not as much metalwork as you!
