Apart from exposing you as a complete tt I can't see what The Sun or police could do.

AFAIK a couple of pictures on a website cannot be used in court to prosecute.

It's one thing I've always tried to be on top of when moderating myself. I've often found it odd that people quite openly admit to doing such speeds on public roads.

Time and a place - leave it for the track.

I think I often annoy people when they say (usually young) "What's it do?" to be replied with "70mph". smile

You can change the tune to make the speedo read crazy numbers, which is what they do to change mph to kmph etc. Ive done this to help guys who import vehicles from Nz/Oz.

So the speed on the dial does not need to match the speed on the road.

Isn't it an offence to have an incorrectly reading speedo?

Hope the French police don't look or get tipped off from their British colleagues as I rember posting a while back about buzzin some mates on the way back from Le Mans at nearly 3 times their limit, usual terminology of private roads & leptons will prevail.

Here in Hants local roads are now 20 mph, car sounds great in 2nd gear with cars queing up behind, sounds like a speed limiter, so my latest enjoyment is enforcing 20 mph LOL

yep, watch out for coppers in le mans. Also put your sat nav's and radar detectors away as french police are known to take them out and break them.

The odd blat is cool but the idiot on the vx220 forum should maybe bragg after a good speed at nurburgring, not the M20.

Why would they destroy a Sat Nav ?

Surely if a Sat Nav is factory fit, they cant go around destroying them too ?

not built in sat nav's. They may see a mobile sat nav as a radar detector. Unless you speak good french they may grab it and smash it up.

Maybe a nice hidden laser detector (aka parking sensor) is the option....
