Does anybody know if the standard head unit has some aux port to allow an iPod connection? I've found a few posts about various ICE options but nothing to help.

Had a Dension dock in my last car. but not an option in the Monaro, so I need to find another way to connect as the standard radio reception is pretty poor. I'm not really looking to change the head unit, just want access to my music collection....

You can buy a gadget to plug into your ipod or your ipod in to, that allows you to tune your radio to it and listen to it that way.

This is what you want, I've heard they are excellent as they don't rely on FM transmission, they plug directly into the aerial socket and control the IPod menus in the traditional way. I think Halfords also do free fitting: www.harmankardon.com/drive-1/

Thanks people,

Got one of the transmitter devices from eBay last week, not perfect reception mind, and it doesn't charge the pod when in use, but better than nowt..

Might check out that HK thing at some point, looks like a possible option.

For information about an i-Pod connection to the original Blaupunkt Radio-CD player you can get information on
the Pontiac GTO forum site: www.ls1gto.com
Greatings from a GTO 2006 driver from the Netherlands.
