According to their website Tom Walkinshaw owns HSV, he is the guy that started off the Aston DB7 and Jag 220, his place is about 3 miles from where I live.

He used to run the Arrows FI team as well, until it went bust.

Walkinshaw is a big hero of mine...Everything he touched turned to gold, both as a driver & team principle upto around after Schumacher left the Benneton team...His aussie contacts kept him busy though in the last decade with great success. The sheer numbers involved financially in F1 didn`t do his enterprises much good long term though...It`s great to see the man claw his way back upto where he should have been years ago after the whole infamous TWR thing.

Arrows went into administration with debts of £51.3m and TWR went into receivership with debts of over £35m. No wonder he moved to Australia.

By the way, I've worked in F1 for 23 years..................

The original UK Alpina importer was Brian Muir, who drove for Alpina.
