Decent enough review by 5th Gear standards, nothing special. Car still looks a bit unfortunate even on the move I think.

Sorry lads but that's another GM car with a styling bypass operation (although next to that horrendous Jag, it's all relative). However good the car, the looks are awful. The new Camaro is a no-brainer next to that, LHD or not.

Personally I like it

however, what's better, the car or VBH talking about "a bit of sideways action"

soon as Greens sort out a £20 per week finance options I'm there

She'd go more than 'girly' if I got my hands on her

Getting a bit bored of the 30 second test drives and 10 minute (non-related) features. Poop.

I like VBH very much - but that was awful. And the press cars, on 19s, look crap (sorry). Everyone that's seen it hasn't liked it. Bad idea trying to follow a coupe with a saloon in my eyes as well frown

Roll on 2009 and the Camaro. That's my next 'toy'!

some of you guys need to see it in the flesh and test it out.

Mine has more of a sporty feel. Driving position good etc. 20" wheels should look nice with the lowering springs however this could make the general ride worse. Any of the dealers going to do this to their cars?

Test by VBH was ok. The program needs to spend more time on the tests rather than these stupid other bits about tanks and how far a strong man can pull a vehicle. VBH's car needed the power pack at least as its pretty quiet. More engine noise in cabin though....

Yeah my eye is on the 09 Camaro too.. (hopefully with the LS3 engine!)
Not much point me upgrading my hsv 4 door for an hsv 4 door with less power. Although the creaks and clunks would be nice to be rid of.

The Camaro is looking to be a Top 10 seller at this rate....

I've seen it - sat in it, and I'll drive in at Thruxton next month. Still does nothing for me though - too many doors! tongue out

The Camaro is almost guaranteed to housing the LS3 - with a supercharged so I hear smile

Interestingly it only managed 2mph more than mine at Brunters. Or is it limited to 155mph?

I'd been going off the VXR8 a little prior to watching the show but I must admit it's got me wanting a test drive at the very least and I'll be honest about colour choices, I usually hate silver with a vengance but I absolutely loved it in silver. Styling is all about choice and for me it works, looks like a top performance saloon to me especially in that colour

I do agree about the review, not overly comprehensive about the car itself but looks an entertaining drive, I've had enough of boring, over engineered, cars from Germany (usually)... I want something with a bit of character and I wonder if this might be it.

Didn`t feel that quick when I drove it, but to be fair I had driven my car there and home after.
Think it`ll be a good starting platform for the guy`s that have to have a four door.

Have two sitting outside already done. Just makes hadling sharper, no where near as much dive under braking (watch the show again!!! it's scary)

Limited.
I thought it might have been. I'd expect around 160mph with a true 420bhp or thereabouts.

Based on gearing and max rpm in 5th. Top speed is just over 170.
