Can't post a link due to Autotrader's half-arsed website design. £1500 seems a decent discount on a such new car. What's in it for them?

Er, OK. I just thought it was odd that this sort of outfit would be selling new cars below list. They looked like the sort from which you buy an Audi R8 at list+10k.

Does that mean as a normal punter I can expect to negotiate a discount on a VXR8 from a dealer?

Sorry if these questions seem naive. Having bought a few "new model with waiting list" cars over the years, I've never been able to get discounts. Maybe I'm just a bad negotiator.

btw, it's not my ad and I have no relationship with this company, I just came across it whilst doing a bit of digging after reading the thread on used VXR prices.

Im guessing some would argue things like aftersales services etc give. But as far as Im aware you can take the car to any authorised dealer for servicing. So as long as its the real thing. Seems sensible to buy from the cheapest place.
You may find you can get some optional extra's free elsewhere, like mats the auto trans etc if you work the salesman.

Id rather buy off the dealer with low to zero overheads. No point paying for the large bloated dealers pension scheme unless you are the socialist type.
