good evening just thought id say hi and cogratulations on a brilliant website with some very useful posts.i purchased a vt1 5.0 clubsport from a garage in daventry at the start of may not as much horsepower as the monaros but still a seriously quick car any way a quick question anyone know how many of this model are in the uk. also absolutely love the hsv

Hello and welcome. Did you buy the manual or auto 5.0 they had? They had both at one point I think. As for numbers, with the Holden 5-litre it's a very rare car indeed, less than 10 I'd say but not 100% sure. The VT2 LS1 cars are more common, with about 30 cars imported (of which mine is number 16 biggrin).

I'm sure someone with more specifc numbers will be along in a minute, but welcome anyway, good to see another 4-door on the forum!

it was the manual with hsv build no 1355 150 from end of line in diablo red with 18 inch gts rims i think

Cool! If I'm not much mistaken that used to belong to another forum member, interestingly also someone called Mike. How are you liking it?

great. have been reading posts since early may and think the car may have belonged to mike hsv judging by the logbook which only arrived back last week was unsure also because in his old posts it mentioned wortec cat back system but it looks like genuine hsv. but back box is stainless turbo genie twin outlet and still sounds quite well
