Anyone know if you need to do any reprogramming of the ECU when fitting Racelogic traction control to stop the ECU from thinking there is a knock issue etc and going into limp home mode?
Oh the engine is a 2004 5.7L
Many thanks.

Quite a lot of programming via the Racelogic ecu to achieve the desired results of the Racelogic T/C

Programmed correctly is no problem.talk to racelogic technical and they will answer your concerns. Also Wortec.I ran racelogic t/c and eventually arrived at a very good map to suit my HSV running in excess of 500bhp. 5 settings gives you the best of all the conditions.

WE are Racelogic Fitters and dealers - Mark Frisby have fitted over 90% of all the HSV cars and numerious Monaros with Racelogic systems(HSV UK - Rod Clauson)as they came into country 1998 onwards...we have all the set ups for the cars, also we have a boost control option available for any supercharged cars which unloads boost under T/C control to prevent lean off conditions. Call for any advice Cheers Rapid GB Ltd

Unload boost and lean off conditions? What does all this mean? I do notice quite a kick on the wet setting.

When the T/C kicks in it cuts fuel, this kills engine torque and stops wheel spin,
but the blower is still spinning and making boost, which the unloader valve cannot unload, this can result in a lean AFR whilst T/C is active, which can lead to piston failure.
So if you have control over the unloader valve when T/C kicks in you can drop the boost.

This is a system that I developed for group A and turbo touring race cars but works very well on supercharged V8's...........
Cheers
